CCC’s Industrial Optimization Solutions

Copper Mining:

In copper mining, the process air compressor is critical for the copper smelting process, particularly in the converter furnaces. Efficient control of these compressors is essential, but several challenges can complicate this:

• Variability in the quality of copper feedstock

• Multiple converters sharing a single air supply

• Multiple air blowers with shared air flow between converters

Steel:

In the steel industry, blast furnaces require a constant and reliable supply of compressed air to ensure optimized oxygen levels for the burning process and proper circulation of the load. Any interruption in air flow can significantly reduce furnace efficiency and cause operational disruptions.

Copper Mining:

CCC's advanced surge protection and specialized compressor load-sharing algorithms have significantly improved the reliability and efficiency of the copper smelting process. Our solutions offer:

• Simplified start-up and shutdown procedures

• Stabilized converter pressure and throughput

• Dramatic energy efficiency improvements, enhancing investment returns

Additionally, CCC provides state-of-the-art condition monitoring and controls for compressors, steam, and gas turbine drivers. We also offer systems for high-pressure compressors used in mining and the safe supply of oxygen to miners working deep underground.

Steel:

CCC's process control, turbine speed control, antisurge control, and integrated machine monitoring technologies are ideal for blast furnace turbo-blowers. Our extensive experience includes:

• Single blower, split-wind blowing, and parallel blower installations

• Control of coke oven gas exhausters and instrument air system machines

Our technologies are renowned for simplifying start-up and shutdown processes and stabilizing converter pressure and throughput. The energy efficiency gains can be substantial, providing significant cost savings and a strong return on investment for our clients.
