Precision in Practice
In critical environments like laboratories, cleanrooms, and hospitals, operational efficiency is vital for focusing on core missions, such as research and patient care. However, complex HVAC systems can hinder safety, precision, and compliance due to unstable airflow and frequent recalibrations.
The Phoenix Controls Critical Spaces Control Platform (CSCP) simplifies operations and reduces maintenance. It automatically adjusts airflow in healthcare settings to enhance patient safety and treatment outcomes. In research labs, it provides precise airflow control with minimal oversight, promoting innovation.
Resources
Discover how air flow control valves, specifically venturi valves, play a crucial role in achieving precise space pressurization and accurate airflow within critical environments. This article delves into the functionality and benefits of the Phoenix Controls venturi valve that we use at the heart of the Critical Spaces Control Platform, highlighting its efficiency in regulating air flow. Learn essential insights into how proper air flow control can enhance indoor environmental quality and support energy-efficient HVAC operations.
Along with the venturi valve, the Critical Spaces Control Platform includes the below devices:
Programmable BACnet Controller
With BACnet IP and BACnet MS/TP options available, this freely programmable controller offers the flexibility you need to customize controls specifically for your application.
Actuator Control Module
In applications where speed of response is paramount, the actuator control module provides precise control of the linear high-speed actuator on the venturi valve – commanding it to position within 1-second. If desired, a Fail-Safe Module can be attached to maintain setpoints and configuration during power failure.
Fume Hood Display Unit
The FHD500 is used for fume hood applications. The new design features easy-to-read alerts, energy saving modes, and data display options to address concerns of researcher safety and energy usage.
Flow Manager mobile app
Flow Manager connects to the platform via Bluetooth allowing authorized users to view the system. The app supports alarm management, comfort control, manual overrides, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
In the 1980s, Phoenix Controls gained momentum in laboratory and research settings as the premier airflow control solution. Over the years, our expertise has only grown. With our mechanical pressure independence and high-speed response times, we promote safer environments for research staff.
