Honeywell's ultrasonic measurement technology uses soundwaves to determine flow, which improves accuracy and long-term stability, compared to mechanical approaches. Some Honeywell meters also incorporate electronic temperature compensation and pressure monitoring to account for environmental conditions, providing more accurate readings when gas density changes.
Honeywell is the first company to integrate quantum-computing-hardened encryption keys into smart utility meters. Our smart gas metering solutions incorporate AES-128 encryption and authentication capabilities designed to help protect against unauthorized access and evolving cyber threats.
The Connexo® platform's scalable cybersecurity architecture protects all phases of gas metering distribution, from access controls to monitoring and reporting. Regular firmware updates help address emerging threats, supporting compliance as cybersecurity standards evolve.
The NXCM cellular module provides an efficient upfit solution, adding connectivity to compatible existing meters without full replacement. This approach delivers remote reading, monitoring and diagnostics at a fraction of full deployment costs.
Honeywell's restoration services refurbish select meter types to original specifications using 100% OEM parts, providing a value-added, cost-effective solution to enhance existing metering infrastructure. These incremental strategies let you phase implementation based on operational needs and budget constraints while maintaining reliable service.
