Honeywell Productivity Solutions and Services (PSS) has received 2026 iF Design awards for three of its solutions: the CT70 mobile computer, LNX3 mobile printer and PC42E-D desktop printer.

iF Design award-winning products are selected by an international jury of more than 120 global design experts for exceptional form, function, sustainability, differentiation and fit-for-purpose elements. When evaluating submissions, the jury looks for solutions that rethink systems, challenge established conventions and make meaningful impacts on users and their industries.

Honeywell’s dedicated User Experience Design team is critical to ensuring products are designed with the needs of end users at the forefront. The team is made up of designers around the world using customer insights, deep domain knowledge and a co-design approach with users to design high-performing and ergonomic new products across industries. 

More About the 2026 Winners

Honeywell Productivity Solutions and Services solutions winning iF Design awards in 2026 include:

  • CT70 Mobile Computer—Designed to help workers optimize everyday tasks, the Honeywell CT70 is a rugged and reliable device that can provide real-time access to critical data, fast barcode scanning and on-screen contactless payment. The 5G CT70 includes advancements such as an AI processor, Wi-Fi 7 and integration of RAIN RFID to help businesses obtain a more accurate picture of their inventory.
  • LNX3 Mobile Printer—The LNX3 is a portable direct thermal printer for the transportation, logistics, retail and manufacturing sectors. It is designed to be durable, lightweight and flexible for either waist-mounted, desktop or in-vehicle use. The Honeywell LNX3 enables uninterrupted workflows through enhanced speed, reliability and connectivity.
  • PC42E-D Desktop Printer—This direct thermal printing solution offers powerful performance, reliable connectivity and easy integration in a compact design to tackle the rapidly changing retail and industrial work environments. With an intuitive and easy-to-use interface, the Honeywell PC42E-D delivers fast, stable and high-quality output, ensuring that receipts and labels are produced with optimal clarity and speed.
A Design to Withstand Tough Environments: The Honeywell CT70 Mobile Computer

The CT70 streamlines work in a variety of settings, from a grocery store to under the wing of an airplane to a box truck making last-mile deliveries. Honeywell User Experience Designers needed to create a versatile device that can withstand challenging conditions while still being small and light enough to be comfortably carried by a worker throughout their shift.  

“We made strategic design choices with the CT70 so it could be intuitive to learn to use for new employees as well as effective for workers who need to use the device in different ways,” said Joanna Kucko, Senior Advanced User Experience Designer. “For example, we included a bright, high-resolution display screen that can be easily read both indoors and outdoors and responds well to touch when employees are wearing gloves, using a stylus or operating the device in rainy conditions.”   

The texture of the CT70’s grip reduces slipping and makes the device easy to hold all day. The mobile computer’s two speakers are also placed in the front so sounds can be heard clearly in loud workplace environments.

“The battery release functionality and scan button were also top-of-mind in the design process,” Kucko added. “The battery release is ‘pinch style’ so a worker can swap out the battery using one hand, minimizing any interruption to their work. The scan button gets heavy use in settings like retail, supply chain and airlines, so its placement needed to be as comfortable as possible for users who are pressing it hundreds of times each day.”
