Intelligent oil and gas pipeline solutions

Integrated SCADA systems enhance oil and gas pipeline safety through continuous monitoring, near real-time data visualization and automated alarm management. Honeywell's Experion PKS monitors operational parameters of pipelines worldwide, providing operators with enhanced visibility into system performance. Integration with leak detection, fire and gas systems, and emergency shutdown capabilities creates a unified safety platform that can respond quickly to abnormal conditions.

Alerts notify operators promptly when parameters fall outside acceptable ranges, enabling rapid response before situations escalate. By automating routine monitoring and data logging tasks, these systems free operators to focus on critical decision-making while providing the detailed documentation needed for compliance reporting and performance analysis.

Our solutions are designed to support compliance with ISA99 and IEC 62443 standards, helping provide defense-in-depth protection through multiple independent layers of security. The architecture includes network security, endpoint protection, situational awareness and response and recovery capabilities. Integration with our SCADA and safety platforms provides coordinated monitoring and response capabilities, enabling operators to detect and respond to security incidents quickly to help maintain operational continuity.

Honeywell provides proven migration solutions for a wide range of legacy SCADA systems, leveraging our experience in regularly migrating competitive platforms to Experion SCADA. Our advanced SCADA technology provides advantages over legacy systems including improved business flexibility, better compliance capabilities and the potential for lower operating costs.

The migration process begins with a detailed assessment of existing systems, operational requirements and business objectives. Custom applications and integration strategies maintain continuity with other enterprise systems during transition. Distributed System Architecture enables phased migration, allowing operators to transition portions of their pipeline network while maintaining continuous operations.
